About

Benjamin Greaves-Neal is a London-based filmmaker and founder of Slate 32 Productions, focused on independent, character-driven storytelling.

His work has been screened at Oscar and BAFTA-qualifying festivals globally, including LA Shorts, BUFF Film Festival, and London Independent Film Festival. Selected for the Pinewood Studios Lift-Off Global Network in 2024, his films explore characters caught between who they are and who they are becoming, where the surreal begins to surface within the everyday.

His latest film 'The Stray' (2026) is a dark comedy examining grief, relationships, and an absurd hunt for a missing cat. The film is currently on the festival circuit. Benjamin is also in development on his first feature film.

Alongside filmmaking, he has performed music at venues including The Troubadour and O2 Academy Islington.

In his spare time Benjamin enjoys climbing mountains and visiting the V&A, both ways of getting some perspective.

David's boyfriend died crossing the road to cheat on him. Now their beloved cat has vanished. Chasing her becomes a tragically absurd quest, as David strays further from friends, family, and reality, towards a brutal closure that will come with claws.
